honestly, it's very hard to explain what's going on. just imagine... steampunk + lovecraft + victorian era europe???
lotm is a very... long webnovel (1400+ chapters). due to it's origins as a chinese webnovel the chapters are twice as long when translated to english due to the difference in languages making it seem like there are some unnecassary sentences shoved into the story, not to mention that there's just a lot of filler at times too. (but i'd say it gets a lot better after the first volume)
actually, this was the third webnovel i ever started, so im honestly surprised that i even understood even a little bit of whatever was going on. the story and characters are very good and even side characters are super charming (yes i did cry over some random side character. OLD KOHLER I MISS YOU COME BACK)
